help tring to replace egr!!!
my old egr was solid at the base there was no cap to cover any holes, i have placed duct tape around the holes to cover the air coming out. what i get now is a brief cel when i first start the car, it flashes and the rpms go up to about 1500-2000 then it kicks back down and the cel goes off and...- jimmmmay

Thank you so much for your help, worked like a charm. One thing though i noticed when i installed the new egr i noticed the new egr had an exit hole on the base of it? Air comes out and it would seem alike a male hose should plug into it but the old egr didnt have anything there? Car runs great...- jimmmmay

help tring to replace egr!!!
tring to replace my egr valve on a 94 atx, how do you unscew the pipe or tube which goes into the bottom of the egr unit? there is no room in there and it just doesnt want to budge? the gasket was in pieces so i have a feeling there was air leak from there. bought new egr thinking it should come...- jimmmmay
