Anyone know if this stereo will hook right up?

Yes you can replace the face. The bad is that bluish green faces are hard to find. Yes, the redundant volume switch will also work. Jelloslug, I take it you're no longer interested in my deck?

CD recievers will operate slave cd players.

I connected a slave CD player to a stock CD tuner and found that I can operate it just like the cassette deck. Just FWY.

    What Speakers?

Bang for buck-wise, I prefer Pioneer. Not the best, but also far from being the worst. I especially like the mids and highs from their four-ways. Their power handling ratings are grossly overrated, however, the sensitivity is high. That makes them more efficient. If money wasn't an issue...

All I can say is that I had a similiar problem. When I connected the wires, like you said, everything worked well. Good luck.

    Need timing belt tensioner

Yes, but not by me. I paid good money to have the water pump replaced, with the timing belt, and the "certified tech" who worked on it screwed it up! My NEW mechanic discovered it, and a loose crank pulley bolt too! He found it while replacing the crank & cam sensors. I also need the idler...

Where to get accessory pulley bearings?

Thanks for the lead slo-sho. I filled out a request form. Svct, if by sealed you mean with the rubber piece on the side, yes. The design is like that of those bearings I experimented with before. :)

    Need timing belt tensioner

Excellent suggestion, if there were any SHOs locally. Besides, the mechanic working on my SHO convinced me that a used one would likely fail fast. That, and he just wont install it! liability. I would prefer a new one if found, just not from the dealer- cuss

Where to get accessory pulley bearings?

Has anyone here attempted cleaning the bearing, repacking, and reusing them? shrug I ask because I did it for a Peugot alternator and a four cyl. taurus idler pulley. Both have worked great for over three years now. I would like to know if it could be done? The SHO versions appear to be...
