Take your voltmeter and connect directly to the starter solenoid engage wire and the engine block. When the no crank problem occurs, what voltage do you get?

When you have it aligned, the shop should pop rivet the plates in place. This will allow you to remove the struts at a later time and not upset the alignment.

If you wanted to look at the waveform output of the camshaft sensor, which of the 3 outputs of the sensor would you look ar with the scope? Thanks
