    Tune Issues

While on this topic and after reading @Sleeper.Solutions86 comment I realize I may have messed up. I always thought the pre-throttle TIP sensor is a 3 bar. I have used it as a rescue sensor when my MAP sensor failed. Since then I’ve been using them interchangeably, new sensor goes to the...

    Hid Headlight Out

Check with a multimeter if voltage reaches the connector from the harness side. If not, most likely you’ve got a blown fuse. Find your model year’s fuse box diagram: https://www.startmycar.com/us/ford/taurus/info/fusebox There are two 20 amp mini fuses in the main box under the hood for the HID...

    Suspension Upgrades, Parts and Pieces

Yes. The sway bar is the missing piece that makes people hate how stiff the car becomes with H&R springs on PP struts and shocks. The front PP sway bar is actually thinner and allows the front end to dive into corners making the setup perfect. Part number AA5Z-5482-E. Make sure to replace the...

Am I missing something or are the pods facing upwards?

    802SHO 2010 Build

Makes me feel abusive. I think I can randomly, with my eyes closed, grab a handful of leaves from anywhere under the hood. Function over form… or so I tell myself lol.

A fresh start / JMS's 2013 Gem Green Build Thread

That narrows it down to that specific PCV side. If crankcase pressure was high your front valve cover would never be dry. I’ll bet it’s the catch can. Because even if the baffling of the cover failed somehow that shouldn’t matter if you have a catch can.

True. I have one on every car I own, and I’m never considering another brand.

A fresh start / JMS's 2013 Gem Green Build Thread

I had a similar issue with horrible oil smoke coming out of my exhaust at idle like I blew a turbo seal and it was because of the VTA breather I tried with 10 AN lines. Goes away with WOT and comes back at idle/off throttle. I reverted back to my vacuum assisted UPR catch can and everything...

A fresh start / JMS's 2013 Gem Green Build Thread

    1. Catch can itself can be creating excessive pressure/vacuum pulling oil hard. I would ditch the generic one you’re using. This may simply be the fix. 2. Large PCV opening with excessive vacuum at idle, but you ruled it out by replacing the PCV valve. 3. Elevated crankcase pressure. My...

    BOV issues?

https://www.turbosmart.com/product/kompact-em-bov-plumb-back-vr2/ You’d have to figure out the flanges’ modification. No adapters available. It would be much easier if you get aluminum charge pipes and fabricate your own BOV flanges and recirculation outlets. I contacted Turbosmart and asked...

    BOV issues?

Yes. Imagine saying you blew a “tranny” to a non car person.

    Resonator Question

Corsa system has zero drone and it’s basically straight through from the X to the muffler tips. The OEM mufflers are chambered and they drone by design. You just need to free up the exhaust to hear the OEM mufflers drone. In my earliest experiments with the stock exhaust, I had the best sound...

    Flex plate mounting direction

The Reactor Products flexplate has the 3 bolts to TC which is for 2013+ models. When you swap to this from your 2011 you’d have to get the newer 3 bolt TC as well. Maybe something added a little width during installation. Bolts, or wrong direction? Mine from RP is exactly the same as my 2017...

    Diverter Hoses

This is the free BOV mod you can do with no adapters needed. If you like the sound, keep it. It doesn’t affect performance as our small turbos spool up almost instantly.

    Resonator Question

This is the first I’ve heard about using Mustang resonators. I would bet that the S550/650 resonators are at least less restrictive than our OEM chambered resonator so it can’t be worse. But, from personal experience, using a well made X pipe in place of the third cat and following it with...

    BOV issues?

Apparently f.l.a.n.g.e is a bad word.

    BOV issues?

This is a 3 bolt BOV for many Fords, except ours which has a different 2 bolt ******. If someone would go through the trouble of converting to the 3 bolt ****** on the charge pipe then Turbosmart has a drop-in factory ECU controlled upgrade that I would choose over GFB.

    802SHO 2010 Build

That’s a valid point. I guess I’ll just do all critical grounds rather than test one by one under various load conditions. If it doesn’t fix this specific issue, it will definitely help with voltage stability overall.

    802SHO 2010 Build

There are differences in fuse box wiring and locations between years. It’s a 20 amp mini fuse (#69) in my 2017 called vehicle power 1. The ECU ground itself reads very low ohms to battery negative so I think it’s fine. There is something else somewhere I will have to figure out. I’ll leave this...

    802SHO 2010 Build

Thank you for all the critical ground locations. I did upgrade most of them, the ones that I could see, but that hidden ECU ground seems to be the culprit in my case. BCM and PCM read totally different voltages and the PCM voltage fluctuates heavily. Replacing the relay/fuse did not work. What...
