    Hi, 15 sho. massage seats

Personally I dislike the massage seat, but that could be because the one in my 2010 has a mind of its own. It will randomly start massaging and you can't turn it off! As for the Sync2 to Sync3 conversions, I have done them in both of my parent's vehicles (a 2013 F150 and a 2014 Explorer). The...

    2010 Sho bad Turbos again

I'd say that it is likely that only one turbo is bad (if it is indeed a bad turbo). When the bad turbo(s) were replaced last time, was the oil cleaned out of the intercooler? When my front turbo failed the first time, it filled the IC with oil and the car still smoked occasionally after...

Starter keeps cranking after engine starts

Yea, Unfortunately, the factory troubleshooting guide lumps 'One-Touch Integrated Start (OTIS) does not operate correctly' into a single troubleshooting tree and almost every branch ends with "Install a new PCM" (So they don't differentiate between a No crank, a long crank, continues cranking...

    Goodbye SHO. Rest in peace.

230k was too soon, barely broken in

    Cooling fan issues.

Don't know if you still need info on this but JIC. Newest diagram I have is a 2013 so hopefully it's the same for a 2015. Motor 1 seems to be the Passenger side fan. When in low, both fans are connected in series, so that deems Fuses F29, F31, & F70 as well as the NO contacts on the 'LFC' relay...

Starter keeps cranking after engine starts

Lately I've been encountering this intermittent issue where the starter remains engaged and keeps cranking for a few seconds after the engine starts. I have confirmed with a test light that when this occurs, the 'S' or trigger terminal on the starter is energized so it is not the starter...

    Symptoms of Leaky Injector

I've had 2 instances of leaking injectors. The first one would cause an intermittent, slight hydro lock on startup (you could hear the starter struggle to start turning it over, but then it would start and smoke for a little bit). I actually had a Blackstone oil analysis done and they confirmed...

I seem to have lost all boost

The replacement Dorman Turbo is setting in my living room waiting for a time when it is 1) above freezing out 2) I have time to install it and C) I have the energy to install it (don't feel like doing it on a weekday after i get off work). I'm a little leery about attempting any king of...

I seem to have lost all boost

Dorman sent me a replacement turbo, and I'll install it when it's not below freezing out. Hopefully this one lasts longer. In the mean time, I think I'll order a cartridge for my OEM turbo that the nut fell off of and have it as a spare.

I seem to have lost all boost

It's got a lifetime warranty, and front turbo isn't a difficult replacement. I'll need to contact them and see what they say.

Purging air from cooling system with a vacuum pump?

Paid $70 for my vacuum coolant fill kit, and it's in the running for best $70 I've ever spent. You can get them cheaper now, it's certainly worth the investment IMO

OEM turbo smokes like Snoop Dog after 5000 miles

I had an OEM turbo, purchased and picked up at a dealer, literally come apart after about 30,000 of 'normal' driving (my normal driving probably has much more WOT than an average driver, but I've never taken it to the track). It may have been marked as a remanufactured turbo, but I can't...

    Two Different Water Pumps?

Interesting, I'm fairly certain my OEM replacement pump had 2 o-rings, with my understanding being that if the inner o-ring leaked, the coolant would work it's way out the weep hole instead of into the crank case.

Is master cylinder upgrade worth the hassle?

I did the 2013 booster & MC on my 2010. I would say it wasn't difficult at all and I remember a significant increase in pedal firmness (it always felt overly spongey before), but it's been a few years since i did it. I do remember removing the knee bolster made accessing the booster mounting...

Anyone tried the heavy shockproof fluid in the PTU?

Yes, I've seen this several times, especially in automation control equipment. We had a project last year to upgrade the 34 year old control system on a machine but due to supply chain and logistics issues, we couldn't get the equipment we needed from our regular vendors. We started just looking...

    2018 commuter?

I daily my 2010 and at 278,000 miles I haven't experienced any *major* engine issues, but it is all stock, no tuning. My commute is only about 30 miles tho. -You should probably expect to replace the turbos at least once by 250k. I had to replace the front turbo a second time because the...

Anyone tried the heavy shockproof fluid in the PTU?

Really? I went to Jegs last week, they didn't have any on the shelf and told me it was on back order. I'll have to run over sometime this week and check. EDIT: I checked again and they were out again. :(

    2010 Timing Chain

I didn't need to touch the AC system at all. I think I just loosened the brackets that affixed the AC lines to the body and there was enough 'wiggle room' to do everything without opening the AC system.
