    Pretty much this. It's got more load in reverse over first gear to make it move. It's mostly a trick I learned from a transmission building shop and kind of just ran with it.

    Quick tip to get fluid temp up put it in reverse and brake torque it to about 1400-1500. Idle won't ever get there. Should take tops of 5 minutes to get it where you want it to be. Gotta do this every day at work when training technicians on transmission fluid exchanges!

    I think the torque converter bolts on the reactor flex plate are counter. I think it looks properly mounted to me.

    I am not sure where the whole transmission not working under light throttle is from parameters not supported by hp tuners. Even with everything he has going on putting around town should still function and that's the big issue here before he can get some revisions going.

    Honestly, your best best is to either drop the cradle or pull the front end off and pull the engine and trans out. Turbos at that point will be easy and splitting the transmission case to swap the differential stuff is going to be the less fun part.
