Odd pulsation feel during low-speed turns with acceleration

Ugh… and this is after I said I’d never take the front end apart again. Think I may break down and pay a shop to do it unless there’s some secret way to do it without messing with the shock or the lower control arm. That front bolt is a ********.

Odd pulsation feel during low-speed turns with acceleration

Thanks for the input… Any way to determine which side, or am I going to have to do both? Seems to do it more when I turn to the right if that makes a difference.

Odd pulsation feel during low-speed turns with acceleration

Hi everyone. 2011 SHO non-PP with 161k on the clock. Trans last serviced at 150k with correct Motorcraft fluid (1x drain/fill). Fluid came out looking great, fluid still looks great. Recently replaced front lower control arms (including bushings and ball joints), shocks, and sway bar links on...

    Name this rattle - 2011 SHO non-PP

It was the tensioner. New belt and tensioner, $260 parts/labor, done.

    Name this rattle - 2011 SHO non-PP

Update... SHO is at the shop. They removed belt and confirmed it's at least something in the belt drive and not the engine. They suspect tensioner. They are replacing it along with the belt and we shall see. More to come!

    Name this rattle - 2011 SHO non-PP

So the good news is that I've narrowed it down. It's not the heat shields - they actually already each had bands around them that look factory. New video from underneath: It occurs when the engine is warm around 800-900 RPM and only when the A/C compressor is running. Idling at a stop light...

    Name this rattle - 2011 SHO non-PP

See link: Symptoms: rattle noise when at idle in park or when in drive and stopped. Anything over about 900 RPM it's gone, but when idling (as is in the garage when I took this video), A/C on, rear defog on, heat seaters on - it makes this noise. It's not necessarily the A/C, as I can get it...

    Rear shocks for 2010 sho

I have been told one of my rear shocks is leaking - looking to do this replacement myself. Is it really as easy as the service manual makes it look? I searched around on YouTube, and there isn't a video to be had about it. No posts here with process.

Anyone with high mileage 2010-2011 SHO? How's reliability?

125k on a 2011 here. Completely stock. Romp on it now and then, but lots of highway time as well as airport parking lot time. PTU went out at 70k (1k after I got it... thank goodness for extended warranty). Rear shade broke at 71k. (again, warranty, phew - that was nearly as much as the PTU!)...

Time for a new starter on 2011?

Start post-repair: My apologies for never responding on this... got new starter in there this past weekend, problem resolved. I never realized that there was no major "spindown" sound after the engine started. There is now, so the first suggestion on the Bendix was correct, it appears. A...

New front brakes on 2011 non-PP SHO

So is it an issue beyond the fact it looks different than the previous ones, or am I good and just should leave well enough alone?

Time for a new starter on 2011?

Yes, push-button start. And was thinking same thing on digital meter - not sure if I even know anyone with a needle-gauge one. Thanks for the input.

Time for a new starter on 2011?

check this video I took this morning: There are three starts in the video. It gets progressively worse. The third start isn’t even as bad as it sometimes is - can be 2-3 seconds of engagement after start sometimes. Is this a mechanical issue where the starter is staying engaged (but not...

New front brakes on 2011 non-PP SHO

They’re on the car and I don’t really want to take the wheel off again. :) but I did take the old pads to O’Reilly and compared and they looked similar without measuring... I think I’m just being overly cautious. I’m off to starting issues now. Pic of old rotor and pad attached.

New front brakes on 2011 non-PP SHO

Hi, all - 2011 SHO non-PP here. 118,000 miles. Minnesota car. Got new brake pads and rotors from O'Reilly this weekend. Bosch rotors, O'Reilly brand ceramic pads. Put them on, no issues - fit great, look good, stop the car, no shudder or pull. I'm a little concerned with how little of the new...

    Transmission: this can't be normal

Tech that went on a drive with me was a fellow SHO guy, he knew all about these cars and the early build transmission issues and tsbs. I'm pretty confident this guy and dealer will make it right. Will know tomorrow when it's done!
