Whats ford use for stock oil?
My F150 runs quieter on it but other than that I don't have any data to indicate why one would be better than the other. I've never been one to do the super extended intervals with oil analysis and all that-- the oil doesn't cost THAT much. Besides, you get really cool stickers when you buy a...- freqz

Whats ford use for stock oil?
It's not cheap, but only a buck or so more per quart than Mobil One (but a lot more expensive than the motorcraft semi-syn). <$10 bucks per change is pretty cheap over the life of a car (<$400 over 200k miles). I actually prefer the Amsoil but getting it is such a PITA.- freqz

Tire Help/Questions
Just about any tires you buy are going to last longer than the F1s. For a DD you're going to want all season tires. The Michelins should be good. Continental makes a pretty decent tire in that size too. Save the performance tires for the track.- freqz

FYI Thought we had it bad
I was in the Cayman Islands a couple of weeks ago...makes the $6.00 U.S. or so per gallon seem like an absolute bargain :laugh_ti:- freqz

Just Curious
I grew up in a Ford family but I did drive a '97 A4 for 8 years (man I loved that car). I've considered pretty much everything from ~30k to ~60k and I'm 99% settled on the SHO. I test drove the BMW 3, 5, and Z4. The 3 was priced OK but is really a pretty small car. The 5 is great...for $55k...- freqz

2011 Dealer stock?
I'm leaning towards waiting until the '12s are officially announced to see what's available. If it's a bunch of "meh" options I'll have me dealer start digging around for '11s. If it turns out that we get an extra 35hp and better brakes with little to no additional cost I'll order one up and...- freqz

I think I'm about settled on a SHO. I've been shopping everything from 30k to 60k and think the SHO is the right car for me right now. I'm driving about 35k/yr right now and think I should have a car I enjoy if I'm spending that much time on the road. I am, however, having trouble finding...- freqz
