Yes, I've read the thread. No, I have not watched the video. My conclusion is that the original poster has an anomoly with his clutch. I have a Spec stage II. It is an 8.5" Escort unit. 6 puc. I think it is a piece of garbage. It does not hold as well as the JY clutch I had in the car before...- 914turboford

Found out that a 91 SHO PP bolts to my Ranger FW which will bolt to my 2.3t. So it looks like I am good to go. I saw a Valeo in person at a NAPA parts store. I've got a Ford 2.3 turbo bolted up to a 1989 Escort GT MTX powering a 1973 Porsche 914. See it at Engineconversions.org if you are interested.
