I did see that. I am going to consider that. Just wanting to see if something is for sale first, which would be easier.

Are lug nuts different size for gen 1 and gen 2

I have an '89 mtx. I got a set up slider wheels to replace the originals. I just did a test fit and the lug nuts i have are a bit too "proud" (or long), so that the center cap cannot be installed. Are the gen 2 lug nuts a little shorter? And anyone have a set to sell?

WTB: '89 SHO rear control arms

WTB: '89 SHO rear control arms Looking for really nice condition. They need to have bushings. I'll probably get them powder coated so they look super fresh. I have a set of rear control arms but without bushings. I haven't had any luck with finding bushings, so thought I'd try to by another...

Where might I find rear control arm bushings?

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to just get the adjustable rear arms from shosource (thank Jesus they offer them). It's weird to me that replaceable bushings aren't available. I got the old bushings out with my press.

Thank you. I saw that site, it's a good idea if needed. I'm happy to get a set refinished on my own. Just looking to see if a mint set is available before that. Doesn't seem likely atm.

Where might I find rear control arm bushings?

Where might I find rear control arm bushings? I was able to get some rear "upper" control arm bushings. Eyeballing them in hand, they seem like they would fit in the arm. Are rear control arm bushings available anywhere? I think I'm specifically looking for the "lower" ones. But there are two...

Best tires for Gen 1 SHO (as of 09/2024)

Ok thanks for your input. The Uniroyal seem like decent quality tires actually. But H rated 130mph isn't good enough.

Best tires for Gen 1 SHO (as of 09/2024)

That's a great point. Those Cooper tires I mentioned above are only T rated at 118mph. My SHO top speed is 143mph, so those won't do.

Thank you for those photos. I'm still undecided, I'm going for more of an oem look overall.

Best tires for Gen 1 SHO (as of 09/2024)

Appreciate your advice, will consider. I'm not sure if white lettering would look good or not on the '89 SHO. Hmm

Best tires for Gen 1 SHO (as of 09/2024)

One option I'm considering is to get the oem blade wheels. Maybe there would be better tires options in that size.
