    Stock V8 in SLOs (?)

It has come across a few times, but IIRC, questioning of Ford brought about denial. Spare SHO V8s remained crated, rather than being put in vehicles, and were then over the years turning up as crate engines for sale. Last one I remember hearing being resold, from someone that had it for many...

    1999 SHO

If you want to sell the car or parts, there is a section on this site specifically designed for that which requires a small fee. Please move any further postings about selling the car or parting of it over to there. Or to private email, obviously. Thanks, Stephen Newberg

    ejector spark plug

At the current value of these cars, that is rapidly headed toward not worth working on any more. smn

    still hard starting

IAC sensor, is, I think the initials. Sometimes you can get away with cleaning it, but its fragile, and often you should just replace it. IIRC it is not an expensive part. smn

    Intake flexible tube

I agree; both easier and cheaper, I suspect. smn

Springs refresh (what are the options ?) / CC859 and CC240 review and possibles other matchs

When stock and new, the car is dead flat. It has not rise at the rear or at the front. I think it can take a little rise at the rear and still look OK, but not at the front. Yours looks flat and fine to me. I would go with it and not worry. :) smn

    Sony Stereo

Then you are posting in the wrong forum. This is for the Gen III V8, made from 1996-1999. smn

    SHOShop CAI filter

Boy, that is going to be sucking a lot of hot air. You would really be better off putting the OEM type filter back on in the air box and running an cold air intake line to the wheel well. Its easy to do and not at all expensive. Just do a search for it to find instructions and likely photos...

I suspect that means he does not have a PayPal account... ;) smn

    starter

I have only gone through one starter, and that only happened a couple of years ago. The one that came with the car finally rotted out its main high voltage cable. It was actually turning to powder. But still, 20 years and 200k+ on the original is pretty good. smn

    coil overs

One of the things I have always liked about owning an older car is the amount of stuff you learn just in the process of trying to keep it maintained. :) smn

Be sure to clean the IAC sensor as well. smn

Well, it is certainly eye catching. :) smn

    Dirty Girl's stranded

Yes, IIRC it is normal for the rpm gauge needle not to move during cranking. smn

    Dirty Girl's stranded

It still really sounds to me like fuel or air. I would definitely get a know quality IAC as it still is the most likely culprit for the conditions you are indicating. smn

    Starting problem

Better than the engine being seized, though, so I think you should actually feel good. :) smn
