Need insight from the experts
First, start with the basic red shop manuals. Then, beg the forum for the closest Gen 1 member nearby that will provide the name of a good mechanic you can trust. Hand him the manuals, emphasizing the smallest one. Fly home wait 1 month and then fly back.- Blk89

Which are the right sparkplugs?
All the above correct. Just work each rear plug individually to remove whatever dothingy is in your way. Then I suggest replacing that part right away so you will not end up with a bunch of different bolts and small parts unsure of where/how they go. I would also note to blow out each plug...- Blk89

Is the Timing Chain still an issue with the 3.5L Ecoboost in later model years (17-19)?
Is that an interference engine? Meaning if the chain breaks, the pistons strike the valves. Sounds like to me that having towing service, and at the extreme having all the parts in the trunk would take care of everything. If chain breaks engine stops, overheating should not be an issue.. CV axle popped out on highway
It was likely not seated properly. When I did a CV boot replacement (89 MTX) found there was a snap ring on the inside of the transmission. It was very hard to push the shaft in to click it past the snap ring as the shaft compresses when pushed. Just do the inside (trans end) first and make sure...- Blk89

Gen 1 radio/cassette
Newbie. Sorry don't know how this forum deal works. The radio in my 1989 SHO will not eject the cassette tape. This also will not allow other functions to be used. Any ideas? Or I am searching for a Gen 1 unit to buy.- Blk89
