    Did a fluid change, there was a fair amount of metal coating the pan/ on the magnet. Was going to take it out for a spin, but found I have a flat. So gotta take care of that first before I can give it a test drive.

    Also, did my fluid change today and found out my trans pan is so mangled it won't go back on. Anyone have a lead on a replacement pan? Ford isn't able to order them anymore!

    Could that also be the reason why it stall out occasionally when I'm in drive under 1k? Even in park idling it almost dies quite often.

    Thank you so much, super glad I didn't put it in yet!!I'll return it and get the Walmart brand, it's dirt cheap & will give me the ability to do a couple flushes. While I'm in there I'm going to do a gasket & filter replacement, does it use the same one as the standard taurus of that year...

    I got some Mercon V to do a fluid swap for my 97 SHO.. I see you said only 98-99 need Mercon V. Can I use that Mobil1 transmission fluid you speak of, then?

    Have been peeping around online about replacing the "football" radio. I have a double din Sony sitting in my eclipse at the moment that was ready to go in.. I see that the radio+ac unit are together, does this mean I am stuck with the stock radio? I'd love to have Bluetooth and USB capabilities...

    Got a 97 with high mileage today, and on the way home it seemed to shift a little harsh. Got some Mercon V and going to do a fluid change in the morning (I know you can only access about 6 quarts from the pan at a time). Has anyone had any success with anything to help with their hard Shifts...

    Hmm, good to know, thanks. I guess I'll grab pics of the cam while I've got it open doing valve cover gasket and ask people on opinions if it needs to be welded again & where to go.
