    police interceptor grill too exsensive?

I've seen the home made ones, never seen one that didn't look like dog crap. With the real one, the holes have depth, not just cut into a flat piece of plastic. Sometimes you just have to pay to play.

That's a Gen II, doesn't count in this discussion... ;-)

    Cooling on the track

We just finished the hottest damned LeMons race we've ever done. No cooling problems for two of the SHOs. The 3rd one seemed to have had an iffy radiator. If the radiator is in good shape, the thermostat is working, and the water pump is functional, you basically won't over heat a V-6 SHO...

    LeMons MSRH 9/11

Yes, female dogs, 7th place! We did good. Zippy had some mechanical issues after they swapped engines Saturday night and DNF'd. RRRR made up at least one of their 4 penalty laps to grab a well deserved 3rd. The nudie's 1st driver got 3 black flags Saturday morning, so they had to park it...

    2011 Convention in Raleigh/Durham...

I'm already planning the trip/caravan meet ups for it. It was right at 100 miles from Vallejo to Thunder Hill, so 60 miles is a piece of cake. And I did the trip back with no functioning alternator. Made all but the last 100 yards... Thanks to Mark I made it back to Texas. And VIR iwill be...

Ford's video of the Convention events at WHQ

I don't think Clayton was an engineer, but a purchasing dweeb.(I can use that term, I am one) He did have the sense to know that what was happening around him was cool. I give him credit for that.

    Zip tie = Bias plugs

I've had the plugs in for years, never had a problem with lock-up. ABS is working. I usually run a slightly lower friction pad in the back. Porterfield R-4S in the front, Performance Friction from Autozone in the back right now. I think. The rear pads need changing so rarely, that I forget...

    Lemons Texas...

It only takes a couple of more than a snails pace laps to warm up the R4s. I've never had a problem at the beginning of a LeMons race day of having brakes when it was time to use them.

I just put a set of R4Ss on the SHO last weekend. I love those things.

    Lemons Texas...

Yep, Wildstar is me, the Kerbster. I've just seen the problems with brake pads at these races(we did crappy pads for our 1st race) and have found that good race pads are the best way to go. We've been using Porterfield R4 pads for 4 races now. We just put on a new set for the last race. 3...

I do not understand why people wont buy adequate brake pads. They pay for themselves in the long run...

Nahh... That Sergio character taught me everything I know! Scary eh? That is scary! http://jelloslug.com/shoforum/rofl.gif I'm not sure I'd call the 24 Hours of LeMons a "Special race in Texas". They happen all over the country. The really "special" thing about them is we all...
