    I would say on your lights that there is a short some where or corosion in the wire or mother board is I would think would be the only answer for that but I could be wrong have been befor my wife tells me every day hope that helps.

    From what it sounds like you both are right there is a bright side not really though it isn't that hard to pull them just some time. I do bet a 100 to 1 that your clutch is done. Inspect your trannie, I would just go ahead and pull it since you will already have it pulled back for the clutch.

    So I pulled the mat that was loose on the driver side and followed the wires and low and behold there was the black box with the sticker some days I worry myself and the sad part about it is that I'm a diesel mech. Thank you all again.

    So there dosen't seem to be a sticker on the trunk lid or a box on the left side of the rear seat and in the manual it just says to enter the code the dealer gives you. Do you think if the dealer might still have the code?

    Well mine will have on as soon as I paint the car. It is cable I read up on how to install a rod shifter yesterday on the forum and it had pictures so I guess that is somthing I need to take care of.

    10/89 is what the door tag reads the vin#'s match on door and dash and the hood is fiberglass it has a waring about the hood being a two part and you can see the bluge. Could the idle be a fuel filter?

    Thats what I was told by a friend but have never had it out so I could be wrong have been befor:)So the two part plastic power bulge hood was an option. Thank you by the way and nice plate on the front of your car I have the same tat on my right arm.
