Purchase a A-1 Cardone for $57 plus some change. The pump is only the front half though. O'well. Decided to go ahead and attach to the block with the old "O" ring, but I cleaned both surfaces with 600 grit then applied a coat of Permatex non-hardening which I diluted with isopropanol (just...- vsho

When replacing the H2O pump is it advised to coat the pump to Block surface with non-hardening gasket compound?- vsho
