:cool: Thanks Ranger j, I think I'll just see how long my "TEMPOARY" fix will last. I'm sure that new cable you installed is great, however, my shifter is working great. Hi folks, I'm new to this forum, however, this problem befell me 2 weeks ago and left me feeling quite helpless. Thank you for all the suggestions and input. At first I configured rubber bands to keep the tension on the connection of the lever and cable rod. They don't last very long...- miketurk
