question on using an SHO in RWD application(aerostar bellhousing)
I was going to take a bushing from a 302 and just turn it down. OR take a mic to the tail of the crank and find out what size that is and then compare the OD of a bearing from a 302 and the ID of the crank to find out the "Press in factor" and then order a bearing accordingly. The custom...- Methos

question on using an SHO in RWD application(aerostar bellhousing)
you also will need to make sure that the input shaft length is right as I know that when using the aerostar bellhousing the 94-95 GT t-5 is the one that meets the length with the bellhousing and the plate. I personally am going a totally different route in using a trans adapter plate to use a...- Methos

well, that is why I asked because my PS pump has the external resivoir. I thought that they might be interchangeable as far as pressures go because the SHO is a sports sedan and the Turbo Coupe was a sports coupe. The altenator is also of a denso design and might interchange with plug ins. If...- Methos

*Thread Hijack* in the thunderbirds there are 2 power steering pumps. one for the quick steer rack and one for the normal rack. the one I'm putting the SHO engine in is a turbo coupe with the quick steer rack. Will the SHO pump work with my rack because that would save me ALOT of time for...- Methos

I know that the V8 SHO is having some serious issues with the cam failure and all but I'm wondering what bellhousing pattern they have as I might be looking into swaping one to RWD for my Thunderbird... as it is now I'm set to put a 3.2 in there but just wondering on this version of the great...- Methos

3.2 in place of a 3.0?
I have been contemplating the replacement of my much damaged 3.0 in the gen 1 with a 3.2... I was told that the bolt pattern on the back of the motor is different from the ATX to the MTX of the gen 1... If it is, could someone give me some help on the install and other intricacies...
