    Just to throw in my 02..be sure to use the GM Synchromesh with the part # that Bankofsho gave you (12345349)....this is the correct fluid for our application...you`re gonna love this stuff!

    The Automatic in a 95 SHO 3.2 holds 12.25 quarts(11.6 litres)total when completely empty...you should put in 7 and then start checking from there....

    Getting Really MAD

    I only use Black Magic Tirewet foam! That`s right,i spray it everywhere on the engine and in the engine bay,leave it for 10 minutes and voila,everything is clean and the silicone in it shines (and protects)everything under the hood,even your wires!

    IMHO the SHO is just as reliable as most high perf.cars...the trick is when something does need to be repaired or replaced,take advantage of the situation and fix it with better,upgraded parts,many of which are available from sponsors of this site wink

    What Made the Original Yamaha Design 300HP?

    hey everyone...here`s something to think about...Yamaha has snow machines that make 150HP from N/A engines just over one quarter of the size of our SHO`s!...i have a Skidoo MACH Z that is 780cc and is 150 hp...SHO`S of course,are 3000 to 3200cc`s...gotta be lots of room for N/A improvement...

    Spark Plug Info

    nothing wrong with Autolite`s,especially the double platinums!....autolites usually come with the rings loose in the box,install them and then gap from .042 to .046...best to gap at .044...

    Part throttle Air/Vacuum sound

    After enlarging the airbox cutout,removing the silencer cone and installing a K&N i had the same noise...i don`t think the IAB is involved as i serviced mine when i port and polished the intake,this was all done at the same time...the noise diminishes when the engine warms up..i can`t figure it...

    YamahaSHO is right...There is a fellow in the Ontario (Canada) SHO club(www.shopower.com)that has 615,000 KM`s on his engine!!!...just over 380,000 miles!!
