sh03d, I would really appreciate it if you could send me his address, perhaps I can get his attention through normal mail since email doesn't do the trick.
Either PM me or email me. Thanks a lot
Also of note, I have been contacted by another individual from the boards who told me that he is...
Yeah, I tried the google thing, and while I came up with his email (which I already had) and his phone number (which I used to have) I didn't get his address.
I've tried getting him on the phone numerous times but he never answers. Perhaps he's screening my calls or perhaps it's just chance.
Can anyone help me out with trying to actually get in touch with Bruce?
He doesn't respond to my emails and he finally blocked me on IM after ignoring my messages for over a month.
I bought a motor from Bruce and Stage 1 cams a long time ago, and later on I had Bruce just re-sell the cams for...
I am looking for the actual weight of the motor, either alone or with the tranny....3.0 or 3.2
Not the block, but complete motor with head and intake...accessorites optional
Thanks
I read somewhere that the 3.0 Vulcan and SHO motors have the same pattern for mating to the bellhousing, which would mean that the transmissions from the Vulcan powered vehicles would bolt up to the SHO?
Can anyone confirm this or disprove it?
Jordan
Mixing brains? Both motors were done by Yamaha.....
I won't be over 2k with any other swap either...I can get a Mk2 Turbo tranny for around $700 with limited slip
Add new clutch and flywheel and some work making an adapter....
Anyway, I am just trying to figure out what options I have...
I am not going with the Mk2 Turbo motor....
I don't want a turbo in this car as I have done a few turbos before and I want to try something else out.
It is also far too commonly done now, I want something a little more unique.
I am thinking about using the transaxle from that car, but...
Just so no one yells at me, I am saying in advance I cross-posted this on the FordBastards Yahoo group page.
I am putting a SHO motor in a MK1 Toyota MR2, so it will be serving a
transverly mounted, mid-engine rwd duty.
Basically, I could use the stock SHO transaxle, but since I have...
I ended up backing out of the Supercharger deal, ShoGuy11, I hope you are the person who ended up getting the kit.
I read about Powerdyne units and it sparked some concerns for me. Since the vehicle won't be running until mid or late summer, and the supercharger probably wouldn't go on until...
Honestly I have no problem saying what I paid, but I don't know that the seller is okay with it, so I won't post the total....It was a pretty good deal in my opinion, but I committed right off the bat too.
1985 Toyota MR2.
We're talking 2300 lbs tops
Most likely less.
Why bother with a 3 liter head? Why not just cams?
Okay, do I NEED anything other than the 80 mm MAF?
Are ported runners and BBB's a necessity?
Yes, I am buying this from Bill. He seems like a great guy, does he still post...
I don't think I am interested in nitrous anymore, because I bought a used 9 psi Powerdyne supercharger kit today.
Now I need to get a transmission to hold all that power.
The package included the Powerdyne 9 LB supercharger, SHO mounting
bracket, plumbing to go from the S/C to the throttle...
