OK, finally back. Finally found a reputable repair technician who was able to get and read codes. Turned out to be the CPS and also needed a new timing belt and new seals. Fuel pressure was 10 psi, so needed a new fuel filter and also a new battery. Battery cables needed to be replaced as...- jmulle1

Thank you for the clarification DrivinFast. I did tell the technician Crankshaft but said the wrong thing in this thread. Anyway, could be quite pricey as I understand it.- jmulle1

Just spoke with the technician and says that he can get codes but his machine can't read the codes. I mentioned to him the camshaft position sensor and the fact most of you are saying this could be the problem. He said he would take that as an educated guess and look into. Yes, breakout box. That's it. Car has 120,000 miles on it. Bought it one year ago, so not sure what warranties have been kept up on it. Shop tech mentioned something about a CPS. Is that the cam sensor? Thanks all for your help.- jmulle1

Thanks Matt. Unfortunately, my car is in the shop and they can't figure it out. Not a Ford dealership. They're to the point where some type of a jumper box is needed (whatever that means). I guess it is something that diagnoses computer problems or something. They said it was a very...- jmulle1

Hey, new member here. Purchased a 1991 SHO year ago. Ran like a dream until the other day when car would not start. Car cranked until battery died, but no start.
