The spinning up of the turbo in my S60R is definitely noticecable. I would call it a cross between whistling and whirring.- ghodge

SHOClub Pres Don Mallinson Drives the 2010 SHO + New SHO to be at the Convention!!!!!
Not to mention the tons of aftermarket stuff from Australia. Holden will still be in business, at least for now. The G8, at least according to one review, meets or exceeds the BMW 335 in acceleration and cornering and almost matches it in braking. I do like the extra space that comes with either...- ghodge

Shoclub1, Have you had a chance to testdrive the Pontiac G8 GT? Gadgets aside, I am really on the fence choosing between these cars. If you have, can you tell me based on driving dynamics alone, that I should definitely wait for the SHO? Maybe not but it doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks, George- ghodge

An informal performance test, and other Ecoboost info
Actually a number of people have reported doing 13.7,13.8s quarter mile times with stock cars. The card is notoriously difficult to launch due to bog. I don't recall mph figures at those times though.- ghodge

14.2 -Why so slow?
It's an issue with the pre 06 manual and automatic transmission cars and 06-07 manual cars. Also it's not the angle gear that's the source of trouble. It's a coupler gear made of soft metal that mates to the shaft of the angle gear. The coupler gear splines wear causing loss of awd and...- ghodge
