My stepdad ordered a black ‘89 when I was 10. I remember rides to school and family road-trips (including one in 1990 where we had all 4 of us in the car and we hit 140mph in the middle of the desert).
By the time I inherited the car in 2020, it had been fully rebuilt by Nick Chrimes (BaySHO Performance) with a huge collection of aftermarket parts after having sat for nearly 10 years.
I daily drive the 89. Koni/Eibach/subframe connectors/stage 1 cams/y-pipe/borla/stb’s/so much more… it took a full year to learn enough about the car to get it to run properly (the last two years before I got it it mostly sat in the driveway, occasionally being started but never run, which made for a lot of little electrical gremlins). This forum was essential in my education - thank you one and all.
