What width and offset for 17" wheels on gen I ?
What is the widest 17"(or even 16") wheel that will fit in the fenderwell of a 90 SHO? I don't want something that sticks out or rubs everywhere. I don't mind trimming the wheel lips. What size tire for suggested rim???- Birdoprey

Vibration while cresting hill...???
I know that the motor and tranny can't move independantly. The passenger driveshaft has a straight shaft and a mount before the inner c/v joint. I've got a 90 SHO mtx. I know the front motor mount is bad and i'm awaiting a reinforced mt. While i'm accellerating(normal) and i crest a small hill or large rolling bump i get a vibration when the suspension drops. Could this be caused by the bad mount? Fuel Injector O-rings
Scott, I'm not 100%, but i think the SHO and the 5.0L share the same injector body. If so, Autozone has a set of o-rings(pn/ 800-9212) for $4.99. Thats a set of 16 o-rings. When they looked up the o-ring and also injectors for the SHO, both said N/A. If you know Autozone, it does'nt mean that...- Birdoprey

Clatter...common?
Scott, I bought the car from a used car dealer here in town. The day he got it he had someone put a waterpump on it. I doubt very seriously that they replaced the timing belt. This was at 121K...- Birdoprey

Heh! Funny you mention that, i pulled three of them off this past weekend cuz they were loose! :) The noise i'm refering to is definatly internal motor related though. Not 100%, but i believe its 1/2 crank speed which would narrow it down to timing chains or valve adjustment.- Birdoprey

Hmmm...not since 123K, i know for sure! I doubt that the previous owner did it either. Is there anyone in the Dallas area that can do the 60K? What does it include and what is the going rate for having it done? I doubt that any service has been done to my car other than plugs/wires and...- Birdoprey

Got another question. I've got a 90 MTX SHO with 156K mi on it. When its running it has a clatter that i'm having trouble locating. Bad fuel pump? UPDATE 2/26/02
Yep, it'll give you incorrect readings. The fuel pressure reg is designed to lower the fuel pressure during low load/high vaccum situations such as idle or reving in neutral. Bad fuel pump? UPDATE 2/26/02
Denny, Did you disconnect the vaccum hose from the fuel pressure regulator and plug it before you measured the fuel pressure?- Birdoprey
