    98' Starting Problem

Looks like SHO123 nailed it, the sho came back and said the diagnostic showed that the car's theft feature was the problem. I'll keep the crank sensor in mind in case I run into it again. Also there is a recall for the later 1998's due to the Theft feature not working properly, so I'll get it in...

    98' Starting Problem

I've had the SHO for about 2 years, first big problem with it. Put the key in, starter turns as usual, but the engine will not kick. I just replaced the battery for the same problem, it seems to start about half the time. When it doesn't start, I can't get it to start no matter how many times I...

    98 ABS acting up

When the ABS light turns on during a drive, would this generate a diagnostic code that a Ford tech would be able to view? SHOZ123-I understood what you were saying, just that I don't have a garage, voltmeter, or jack to lift the car. I'll probably just bring the car over to John...

    98 ABS acting up

So then the problem should be a failed sensor. I see there's one on ebay, but I'm guess i would have to take it to the dealer to find out which one. Thanks, Matt 98' Silver Welded

To answer Paul's question, the ABS light comes on and turn off in about two seconds after starting the car. Thanks me6894 for the advice.

    98 ABS acting up

Hi Guys, I have a 98', recently the ABS light started coming on, not every time, but about one out of four drives. I've got 122K, any ideas on a cheap fix? Has anyone had this problem, what'd you do? Thanks, Matt 1998 Silver Welded Irvine, CA.

    RPM Problem @ 60+MPH

Thanks guys, I didn't think the compressor engaged with the heater on, I'll try driving with using the vent option.

    RPM Problem @ 60+MPH

I was wondering if anyone has come across this problem... When driving the car on the freeway at over 60MPH, usually around 70MPH I noticed that the car would frequently increase RPM by about 300 for about 5 seconds, then return to its orginal position. This is during a time when the gas pedal...

    Speedometer Problems

Thanks for the info guys. Yes, it's a 1998, I'm guessing that problem isn't worth fixing, since it's not too often we're going over 120 mph. I had my 98 SHO welding about a month after buying. John Stossel in Los Angeles did a great job welding it. Also replaced all coils after several failures...

    Speedometer Problems

Has anyone had problems with the speedometer not wanting to pass the 125MPH mark. I was trying to catch up to a BMW 540, once I hit around 125MPH it started bouncing up and down. I thought it was go to 140MPH.
