    R&R rack and pinion?

    hopefully a totally unrelated question; my brother has a 93 MTX that lost a ton of PS fluid. he refilled it and it leaked out. is a rack and pinion replacement the only likely solution, or is there a seal or hose that may have broken that can easily be replaced?

    i would guess timing. check the distributor

    for the egr, i think all you have to do is block off the intake and the exhaust parts of it. i don't think the breather tube has to go to the intake. you can have carbon from idling the car a lot. running rich doesn't help either.

    sorry about the late reply. i was very seriuosly considering getting one, but i really dislike fwd. i really like the fact that i was a sleeper and came with mtx. what's the trap speed on a typical run? i can take my bro off the line no problem, but he smokes me by the time i'm in 3rd

    thanks fred, that makes sense, wouldv'e never thought off that though pops did what 93SHOCOOL said; he went to the dealer and they printed it out for him for free. (he did that on his own, i just got home and didn't get to call him).
