I'm starting a project while on coronavirus lockdown: I bought a spare intake manifold and am going to mount it as wall art for my garage. It's faded so I want to repaint it.
I know one of the vendors used to have the correct paint some years ago but now I can't find it. It has to be the correct color. Anybody got it or know where I can look?
And what ideas do you have for my wall art? I am thinking a sheet of stainless steel, perhaps laser cut to some pattern, with the engine specs on an engraved plaque. Perhaps "SHO" and "Yamaha" if I can find the right font.
    Thanks!

If you can't find the correct paint color it sure looks pretty when it's polished.

    Love the red connecters yaycandy.
Or, try a black or dark stained wooden hanging board. Then paint the intakes as close as possible in color to original. Finally, use a black paint pen (art store) to fill in the SHO 24 VALVE DOHC logo on top to give it pop. You want the runners to be the art, not the panel or frame.
The best artwork is one of the engine cutaways done by the late great Don Mallinson.

Im retarded when it comes to making stuff look good, like i just learned how to use spray paint and im just happy it came out as i envisioned. Thanks for the tips, but i usually mess things up when i take it a step further.
