It is hot and humid most days during the summer here too. However, this period only lasts 2-3 months and after it is cooling down to get very cold during winter. There is got to be some advantages to have to endure all that cold, one of them is being able to run the tracks at very low temperatures... another is that our bugs are very small! lol

LOL, yeah we're in southern Ontario and not the same bug problem they have up north (thankfully)
Winters can be brutal here too tho in the last few years it's been quite mild. I hope that trend continues: My old bones don't like the cold much any more.

Looking for an exhaust right now. I love the price of the Magnaflow..can get it at 750 shipped. I can't justify spending more on the Corsa to be honest. As far as the Borla goes, it's much to tame in my opinion. In the video I hear more engine than exhaust and thats a rear shot! Should be hearing exhaust and no engine! lol
I think sound wise Steve's custom exhaust sounds downright the meanest in this thread! How can I get a similar setup? Can you post a parts list so I can buy it online and bring it into a local shop?
I also have yet to hear any clips of the Magnaflow! Anyone have a link to one?

Overall I want a mean sounding exhaust and would like to hear a noticable spool of the turbos (love that sound). I hear this in the custom exhaust clips but not the corsa or borla clips.

Deleted resonator and third cat, straight 2.5'' stainless steel tubing, dynomax mufflers and 4.5'' tips. For a V6, I believe it sounds bad a$$ lol!

I have the NESHO mid-pipe.. works great. Sounds great outside and reasonably quiet inside... Can't hear it above 60 mph. Magnaflows at the rear. Cost was about what the Magnaflow system costs from Bandit.

I think I'm leaning more towards the tune atm. Cheaper and way more performance. An exhaust can come later maybe. BUT the Magnaflow can be had for pretty dang cheap...but I've yet to hear a sound clip of it.
Does anyone have one or a link to one?

Mine (just rear Magnaflows) sounded almost exactly like a stock 2011 V-6 Mustang.

I had a new magna flow Y pipe and mufflers installed at Boise Muffler on my 1990 MTX and total was $848.50

I paid $206 for Y pipe to my door from SHOSON ED, new in box

Well I ran into a little road bump...wanted to do that custom exhaust with a deleted 3rd cat but in MN it's illegal to do so. So might have trouble finding a shop that would install this...

So deleted 3rd cat and resonator...did you install a X pipe or something in it's place? I'm just trying to get a parts list together here for this. Links are a plus. :)
I have a shop that might install it for me...

Oups, yes I forgot to mention, I have indeed an X pipe. It is illegal here too, but since it is a V6, it doesn't sound as heavy as a V8, so incognito... no problem... G/L

Can I ask where you ordered your parts from or was it from the shop? I'm going to start ordering everything here soon then I'll just find a shop to install it from there.

Everything was custom made directly at the shop (Federal Mufflers, Montreal Canada).

You can get an "X" pipe from Magnaflow that is the correct size. (Or your muffler shop can). Not sure the shop will even know what that 3rd cat is... Since there are other cats that are located in the correct place, I would tell them it is some sort of restrictive junction pipe to control drone... or smooth out the pulse...

Heh good idea. :) I'll have to set up something for a custom exhaust then. I think that'll have the best shot at giving me the sound I want like Steve's exhuast. :) Thanks for all the help guys!

I know I have a Flex... But I did an axle back from MRT and it just replace the 2 rear mufflers... The MRT system is a straight through muffler setup...

Very happy with the way it turned out with just replacing the back two mufflers! No plans to change anything else!

We cut off the rear mufflers first before taking out the 3rd cat and mid muffler(It's not a resonator, nor is the mid muffler) and IMO there was almost no difference. We where all pretty surprised to how quiet it was still. Instead it being silent like it was before you could just hear a normal exhaust. It's probably due to the fact this is a twin turbo...the turbo's themselves muffle the exhaust, then add on 3 cats and 3 total mufflers = silence.

I posted a link to my custom exhaust thread above you want something pretty loud. Plus you can clearly hear the turbos spool even when behind the car like 3 car lengths and just cruising (following the sho when my wife was driving). It sounds mean as hell though. :)
