I pulled the Valve covers today and the shims seem just fine and my timing chain tensioner looks just fine!!!

Ok sorry they told me on an other forum that it might be the Chain and not the belt.
I can pull the cover no problem but how do I test the tensioner to see if that is the problem?

    Would the belt be loose?
    Would the tensioner be loose?

    Sugestions?

I have that same noise. Sounds like the cam chain tensioner. It's from the front cams. You'll need to take another glance at that chain tensioner. Anyhow, I have the same noise. Check compression on #5 cylinder. I bet it's low. Mine read 120psi.

I have that same noise! I'm really stressing out about it. I've stopped driving my car and almost ordered a shim kit rental before I saw this thread. Have you found the problem yet?
