I have a motor laying around looking to put another head on it. I was wondering hard is it to swap it into a wagon version of these cars.

Not that I have experience with this, but have seen it done. Breaking this down into the simplest tasks you would just need the motor, tranny ,anda half shafts, mounts and electrical such as ECU, engine harness.

Depending on the recipient you may want to swap the power steering. A/C compressor is unique to the SHO, but A/C lines and other components are reusable. Technically you can get away with which ever controls the donor used, but is always best with the auto climate.

You will also need the SHO alternator. Radiators are identical.

Suspension of donor will likely be passive, but will work. You may have to install the ABS sensors for the SHO speedo, and may need the ABS module if you don't want to live life too dangerously.

I am sure there are a few other tidbits to think of like temp sender, coolant reservoir, and dash cluster. All depends on rather the donor was a SLO or duratec, and what features it included.

I'm not sure but here is the equation :

V8 Yamaha -> ECU -> PATS (fitting with the equipment of the ECU donor)

For the alternator however, they are used on any Gen 3 (gen 4 SLO ?) V6 duratech and Ford explorer XLT of the same years too. Very easy to unbolt on Explorer and often in better shape (front top of engine).
