Hi guys. Really good prices on 2019 new cars now. Only have 15k on my 2018 but contemplating picking up a 2019 which would cost another $15k.

It's not an upgrade only in model year so nothing really gained other than its the last SHO. The 2019 is white which won't show paint swirls and dirt as much as the burgundy velvet. Beyond that I'm not sure other than the white looks great.

Financially probably makes zero sense but what do you all think. Is it silly?

It's only silly if you're giggling... ;) (side note: I've wasted a lot of money leasing SHO's, a 2013, and a 2016, with 15K miles per year when I put a lot less on them, and then gave them back just so I could get a newer SHO)

The 2019 will not have the rear window shade, or the motorized tilt/extend steering wheel. That's it.

Yes really no new features and losing a couple of features. Basically buying for cosmetic reasons and a few more miles. About $1,000 more for each 1,000 miles. Seems hard to justify given the car will lose that the day of purchase.

Personally I would if the payments are the same, just to keep my OCD at bay.

It is not the silliest thing I have heard.

It is a bit decadent, but there is nothing like a new car feeling. It is much more personal than buying something like a house, or anything else in life.

I would not do it as I get too attached to anything I buy, and have a hard time letting go.

That partially explains why I am driving a 90 SHO.
