I am not being rude but to all of you nay sayers i tell you this; if my best friend told me that he saw it and talked to the guy i would not think he was lying to me for a second. I have already talked to him and he will be out on the prowl looking for the guy again to take some photos. And I agree why is he not part of the board?

I did think that 20's would have looked awful also

No offense meant however, I along with Paul and a few others have seen Carter S/C car. I have been fortunate to drive it a little bit. AFter peering down in the engine compartment, I gotta tell you one S/C sucks up an awful lot of space. Two? That would be an incredible engineering feat. Not to say it couldn't be done.
Also, Paul brings up a valid point. For the sake of conversation let's assume Carter is putting down 300HP at the wheels. An AX4N just isn't going to last too long with those kinds of ponies whuppin on it.
Even with the best Tranny upgrades FPS has to offer, I'm betting even Doug would admit that trying to hook up almost twice that power would make for interesting challenges.
What we need is to put this to rest is to have the individual join one of the fourms, here, V8SHO, wherever and proudly post his stuff.
It would be a heck of an accomplishment if validated and he deserves recognition for what was thought to be impossible.
Of course all the foregoing IMHO.

No need for bunching of the panties, I for one hope the car is for real, either way it would not make or break my day.

Not calling you or your friend a liar, alot of people have come in here claiming all kinds of things, going as far as stealing pics from another persons website and going as far as starting their own cardmain page and using the other persons car pics and coming in here and stating that he owned the other guys supercharged SHO.

So naysayers no I don't think so, maybe not as gullible as we used to be or as trusting.

Can't wait for the pics and hopefully this person will get an invite to join us here on the forum. :thumb:

I thought I saw that SHO once on the highway. I was traveling late one night when something SHO-like blew by me like a bat out of hell. I heard the roar of the engine and the hissing of turbos. Before I could get a better look, I suddenly found myself in the midst of a patch of fog. When I came out of the fog, the road ahead was clear for miles, no sign of it.
Hehe, that was me. :snicker: ;)

If he has a real twin turbo Gen 3 SHO, I will give him a free membership to the AZ SHO CLub. ;)

Tom, we all know you would turn into a motor swapping superman and before he knew it would have a chromed out v6 in there and you tearing off down the road with his motor :snicker:

Though that would be a cool project..

Looking very closely under Tim's hood, even though it was only a 6, I could see that a Turbo would be very possible on a V-8, but two? Better yet, why?
As for the location, my problem would be finding the intercooler space and tubing that it would take, well just suffice to say that I certainly would be very interested in seeing how they did it.
As for the two, well, the additional heat to from them would be incredible and even using the compact liquid intercooler I am getting set to put in I think there would be a problem getting rid of all that soak.
The chip would be a must along with the ignition and fuel upgrades, kind of a given actually. Now as for the pistons, yes, they can be had easily enough but it also takes.
Beyond that I still have to wonder what he is using for a transmission. I can attest to the fact that the HP, or rather torque is a huge killer to the AX4N and he must have found one helluva builder. As for running on 20's, well that kind of defeated the purpose of trying to hike the power. Oh well, to each his own.

Well, after riding in Roger D's beatiful Black Gen 3 (Best of SHOw at the Cali Convention), all I could say was, "I could of had a V-8!" It sounded so SWEEEET.

If this guy and his twin turbo'd SHO turns out to be real, it will be a masterpiece of fabrication. In fact, I should probably make the rounds at all the turbo fab houses around town and do a little vestigatin.

Not to say it doesn't exist, but......if it does that tranny is most likley toast in no time, it would be a ******* and a half to keep it all running. Sorry to say, but money is best spent in something that can deliver the power to the ground w/o breaking everything in it's path.

Also, I won't believe it until I see it. :p

I definitly would like to see this(I'm not saying it doesn't exist). Back to the tranny issue...wouldn't a company that has sucessfully built that one to take the punishment want it to be known so these other GEN3 guys can get one??? I would imagine it would have to be someone that knows SHOs really well also. I believe the twins would be possible but most of the time a bigger turbo is the ticket. The twins would definitly be bragging rights but custom fabrication up the wazoo!!! Now, a pair of blonde twins in the back seat... :D

UPDATE. I know that it still doesn't mean anything until i get my hands on some pictures but my buddy called me and told me his quarter mile was 11.2 which is quick but somehow doesnt seem quick enough for a claimed 575FWHP. Still I am trying to get physical, rather photo, proof

This I now have to see to believe. 11.2 is lightning fast for the quarter mile for most streetable cars. Has any SHO ever run that fast??? I would hardly believe that it is still full bodied.

IIRC the fastest SHO is in the high 12s. I think it is Mark Nunnaly's SR-71 89 SHO.

Josh's (SHO NUT) SHO just recently ran like a 12.98 being full bodied..That is why I find it hard to believe a GEN3 with 20's and weak tranny ran a 11.2

I"m sorry...I just have to say it... If pics of it havn't surfaced yet (with as long as this thread has lasted)....this car does not exist. Why don't you start a myth about some other car like a Caddy Fleetwood running 9's or something with no weight reduction.

the reason no pictures have surfaced is because my buddy has not seen the car again. I don't know when of if he ever will but that fact still stands that i know he would not make this up. What would he have to gain? either way i told him to buy a disposable camera and keep it in his car incase he sees it again. If i don't get pictures for 5 months, yes i'll be dissapointed but the odds are really against him seeing as though he moved there last year and only now has run into this guy. I have faith that it exists because of our relationship, i can't expect anyone else to believe his word without pictures cause none of you know him.
