Has anyone heard anything about this company or their product?

As always the brochure looks good and they say all the right things. But $2000 for an upgraded transmission and torque converter seems like a good option especially if they have addressed the snap ring issues.

I posted about it last year and I think another forum had about it also. I dont know of anyone who has installed it.

I have wondered if it is a viable solution.

Probably for a rebuild. Ripping apart a good tranny is something else. Maybe if one can be found from an interceptor at a junkyard to rebuild

My thought is a rebuild due to failure such as SM105K had or someone like @Wsho or @Jordan_R

Yep mine was the infamous snap ring failure. If this replacement is a viable solution, then that would be great.

I purchased a new transmission because I wanted too not because mine failed I did it because I wanted a new transmission to go with the new motor there was no point putting 136k mile trans on a 0 miles motor.

^^^completely on board with this^^^

Exact same rationale I've employed with my current rebuild.

Absolutely did not care (despite a completely functioning trans) to go chasing after perceived failures given the goals with my new motor.

I applaud your foresight there wsho!

Full dick boys on my used trans with the new motor. I'll slap a used one once I destruct this one and send it off for examination of failed components and upgrading of said components LOL

I didn’t mean you blew yours, I was referring to those that were doing full rebuilds with increased power. And knowing that the trans is the weak point it makes sense to increase the capabilities of the weakest link.

I mean, I'd be willing to say the motor is the weak link at this point considering that and the diff are about the only things OEM in the powertrain anymore in my car HA!

I will say however I think the whole the trans is the weak link is a pretty dated thing. I think really the issue was in the beginning the tuning style was to take away majority of what saves the trans because that's what other platforms do. I.E. Torque management.

I know for sure that the torque management side of things has gotten extremely advanced in comparison to the point where load targets are used as a secondary torque management with heavy timing retarding if you go over commanded load. Basically another mitigation of boost spikes on top of throttle closure.

Things I am doing to make my 136k mile trans last is I have put a GH torque converter into the mix and I am putting a beefy trans cooler on it and I might pull the thermostat out of it due to the car being upgraded to weekend warrior / nice weather status. This time around I think we are going to tune around keeping the torque lower just to keep everything happy. It's cool to say you have hella torque, but man I would love to be able to brag about hella horsepower instead LOL. We need some proper damn cams for some revs!!

I seen a better tranny thermostat somewhere before. Not sure how much lower either

I'll just throw a weight reduction joke out there and say just no thermostat will make the car faster anyways

Remove 2-3 lugnuts a wheel. Weight reduction.
Wheels usually are going faster than the car when they fly off. Should trick the speed trap at the end in turn lowering your quarter mile time.

There was a guy on FB who had custom 2-piece rotors made by his friend overseas that shaved a good chunk off the front for rotating mass. Myself and another guy inquired, but no real response.
