    $1600 for a fuel pump, $800 for dp's, $500 for a tune.....

Yet $200 bucks for poorly made SSM mounts.... it makes no sense. The mounts are one of the most important parts on the car, why wouldn't you want the superior/better quality mounts?

Agreed. My SSM mounts (which I bought from Anthony) were flaking paint when I took them off (really expected powdercoat for $225), they weren't plumb by any means, and my 5 year old can stick weld better. NVH was horrid and I took them off in under a week. Anthony asked for feedback, I gave a ton, and he went to SSM to implement and they refused so he went elsewhere and implemented the ideas I and others suggested along with the bushing pack I recommended (70D versus 90D that SSM provided and a thicker bushing/smaller tool pin).

Since they lost business SSM copied the new bushing design, but the manufacturing is still subpar.

Anthony warranties everything and the mounts are made in an ISO 9001:2008 facility, but after the fiasco with SSM he has decided not release who makes them so that people don't go direct since it IS his design, whether it be a point A to B line it's still something he brought to market and he deserves credit and monetization until the day he sells the design.

    Just providing my experience...

See the attached pictures of the mounts to make up your own mind...

The AD mounts were $225, came with grease fittings, and only 1 style of bushing on his Gen 2. Absolutely nothing wrong with quality, bolted right up, did it’s job.

The SSM mounts were $180 but came without grease fittings although they could be added, and multiple choices of bushing stiffness. They bolted right up and did the job. Ran an 11.9 full weight with no wheel hop. Nothing wrong with the quality I received.

I choose to try a different bushing setup because after 5K miles and lots of track time the AD setup still produced more NVH than I wanted. The SSM options included a “Hybrid” setup that they said had factory levels of NVH while eliminating the wheel hop issues of the stock mounts. Thus far I can conclude they are correct.

There is nothing wrong with either setup, it’s all in what you want. I have built my SHO to maintain as much of the comfort and “feel” like it rolled off the show room floor but with the performance it should have had. The SSM Hybrid setup fits my goals more closely than the AD setup.

I don't have a problem with anyone using SSM mounts. By all means please, everyone do whatever you want.

Specifically the SSM/AD thing....I strongly stand on the AD side. First heard of these from Jordan on EBPF. Many members bought them from AD. Excellent reviews. I bought some as well. Fantastic product and I had my mounts within 48 hours after first contacting AD. Great mounts, couldn't be happier.

Then SSM later on down the road was selling them, but not silently. They wanted everyone to know that something was up. Dont buy from the middle man. How often does someone design, create, make something and someone rips off their idea....most certainly everyday so I automatically felt like SSM ripped him off. And I'm just a loyal customer.

Overall what do I know? Not enough info.

What I do know is I got a sick pair of mounts from a great guy and thoroughly enjoy them. Mr. AD has never said a word about anything ...however SSM has been the one doing all the talking. Might be different if SSM just had mounts for sale and didn't say something off topic about "cut out the middle man".

SSM hybrids here. Not sure what the older ones looked like, but I wish I'd taken a picture before I installed them. Appearance is very good. (not excellent) Performance matches what Stealbluesho said. Almost no difference at idle. For low speed, the car 'engages' more in stop and go traffic, but it's worth it when I'm going wide open. Gets all of the pluses of the GH tune. Smooth positive shifts. I can't see 'em except when the car is on the lift. :)

I was more concerned with corrosion potential when the spray paint was flaking off the welds leaving exposed carbon steel to the elements.

    True dat.
But the reality is the rust would likely take 10 years or more to cause any failure, and I still wouldn't be able to see them. In retrospect, I would have ordered Anthony's if I had to do it over. That seems to be the consensus here.

Well, here is my two cents.
Got Anthony mounts, awesome looking product, looks great, install was breeze, now
Its only been two days and that rattle driving me nuts, everything in the car rattles, I can hear things that I never heard before, I know it should brake in but man, that little shifting improvement VS the vibration and engine noise, if this won't get any better in the week or two, they are out.

I got the SSM hybrid mounts. No additional NVH. Honestly if I didn't know they were there, I wouldn't know they were there. Super crisp shifting and no detectable wheel hop or shudder at 2k launches on the street. The car feels high end especially with Gearhead tune. Matt is the man when it comes to making the trans feel like a BMW or Audi. Honestly Ford should pay him to tune their transmission from the factory.
