Didnt know you owned it also. I thought Sam scraped the chassis it after not being able to sell it?
Sam got it from me. Technically speaking I bought it and traded it to Sam before I even drove it. Shouldn’t have.
Sam got another SHO from me, a supercharged white 95.
if I counted those SHOs that I owned for only a minute I’m not sure what my count would be up to. Ugh.
What happened to that white 95? I know he did a lot of mods to it and then sold it. You know where it ended up?
Let's be honest, you would have parted/sold it in no time if you had owned it.
But yes, the Green Car was great and I used the hell out of that car. When it came time no to sell, no one wanted to buy it. I decided to part it when finally someone made me an offer (On SHOforum, no less), but their first question was "Is it faster than my friends Mustang" and "I'll have to see what my dad says". I made a lot more than my asking price parting it. The good news, some parts exist still today on on some SHO's.
The White Supercharged SHO I got through Tim was less of a success story. That car was was a pile of junk when I got it. It had nice paint, a forged shortlbock and rebuilt heads. That was pretty much all of it's positives. Years of neglect and very shoddy work was quickly evident. It was tuned only with an Apexi Super AFC and by messing with the Fuel Pressure Regulator. The shop that worked on it was very proud that it made 290 FWHP on their Dyno...The car had a 9lb Pulley on it . I literally found hand tools in the charge piping (I still use the wire cutters today). The engine harness was absolutely hacked up, the front suspension was pretty dangerous and the cooling system was also DOA. The Supercharger also was on the brink of seizing up. The only thing I didn't replace/rebuild/upgrade on that car was the heads & shortblock & transmission. Even after I was done it still needed a BDA, A/C System Rebuild and a Radio. For what it's worth, I don't put any of that on Tim even though I "technically" bought the car from him. He maybe had only owned the car for 2 hours before dropping it off at my house in the middle of the night while I was in Iraq.
When I was "done" with it I had 10 Grand in to it plus the purchase price which suddenly put things in perspective, I decided that I should sell it and buy my green-race car back that I sold a few months earlier. I'm glad I did. Peter, "89SHOMAN666", ended up buying it, No Idea if it is still in one piece.
says the guy who parted it
I can proudly say that I’ve kept a SHO for the longest in my history with the caged 89. No more parting for me!
He has been reformed!
I feel like this should be up there...

Chad, what a great thread my guy.
The nostalgia is almost too much to handle.
I hope my little 93 black/mocha MTX can make the list soon.
This thread is rad. Inspiration for all of us G1/2/3 owners.
