    Never heard of aluminum connecting rods before. Always forged. And race bearings too, wow. A lot of thinking and a lot of work has gone into making this record possible.

    I thought the ecoboost rods were made out of a powdered aluminum alloy?

    Highly doubt they are aluminum since they are a wear item. Powdered metal has been used for decades.

    My dad uses aluminum connecting rods in his v8 drag builds.
    He tells me they are great for drag because they are lighter but much much much cheaper than titanium ones.But not anywhere near as durable. He replaces them every season.
