just trying to cross all the ts and dotting all the..........lowered case js.

I'm switching out doors from my '92 and replacing them with doors from a '95. The new doors don't have keyless entry buttons. My '92 did. I don't really care about that, just wanted to make sure nothing will go haywire not having the harness hooked up to anything. doh

You'll be fine without it. That is, if u can live without it :D . I know I wouldn't have another Ford if it didn't have the keyless entry on the door.

My friend had an 87 Taurus LX with keyless entry and he tried replacing the doors with non-keyless entry doors and the system went haywire. The doors just locked and unlocked randomly every few seconds. It was quite odd. Hope you don't have that problem!

You should be fine, Jim. When I swapped the doors on my '89, I left the keyless entry out for a couple of months. I had zero problems. Just remember to switch the door locks too :D

except the door locks are different between the 92 and 95 - the door handles were redesigned and the shape of the lock cylinder is different, so you cannot just swap the locks.

I would expect some issues, but it will be possible with some effort.

if you cannot store the old doors, I would at least keep the original wiring harnesses, and the keypad. I think you are going to miss it.

And before you install the different doors, take the time to re-grease the power window motors (there is a "how to" on this forum) as they get pretty slow in the cold weather. Even if you only add WD-40 to the thick grease that is there now, it will make a big difference (if you don't feel like taking on the grease swap that requires snap ring pliers).
If you do the grease fix, leave the door panels off for a few weeks in case you have issues with anything.

You can just keep the later style handles though. It is possible to swap the tumblers from the old locks to the new ones.
