Spark Plug Options for Tune

    Just purchased my Gearhead tuner but didn’t get the power pack as I figured it would be cheaper to get the spark plugs myself. Only problem is I’ve seen multiple recommendations for which motor craft spark plug to get.

    SOMEONE PLEASE CLARIFY WHICH AND WHY! Thank you!

    SP542 gapped to .026. colder plug. it's need to prevent preignition.

    Sp542 like Matt said. There are NGK equivalents but they don't like to hold the tighter .026 gap like the sp542.

    Also Matt has some very specific non negotiable things when he tunes sho. Plugs being one of them.
