I'm on the fence of getting the SHO source UDP for the crank and I have a SHO Nut UDP. What's the difference the and should I sell the SHO Nut UDP for the SHO Source one.

I'm not sure how dimensionally different they are. If they are both underdrive sized I can't imagine the difference will produce significantly more performance to justify bothering with it unless you want something new and shiny.

Okay it's not sho nut underdrive pulley it's the sho shop. Just want to see what people recommend if this is a good one over the Sho source. I just really want to run the best equipment on the car and do it right the first time.

Did the Sho Shop run more than one design UDP? I remember buying a set of 3 ( with water pump (or was it p steering?)pulley and alternator pulley) from them way back in the day, and then someone offered sets of 2, and then it went to single crank pulley only. Not sure if the dimensions for the crank ever changed and I'm not sure if the dimensions are different from the sho source one offered now. Often we see certain designs copied from low run stuff especially when the first seller stopped offering the unit and likely left the SHO market all together

Is the one you have a solid pulley or two piece? Is there a snap ring holding it together or one big piece of aluminum?

That's actually a Hypertech pulley. I used to have one of those on my 91. I never had any issues with it but there are stories of the 2 piece units seperating. It was a manufacturing or design flaw that I believe was corrected at some point. That was enough for me to switch to the sho source unit though.

Yeah I do plan on doing a lot of track time with the car I'm planning on ordering a set of toyo r888 track tires so I don't want that pully to come apart with running a car quite often on the track. Off subject but do you think I could run 225 by 45 by 16 on the slicers

You can but it will make your wheels look very small and give you a lot of fender gap. Even with lowering springs the gap would be too much. Your speedo would probably be 7 or more mph off with that size tire too.
