Just out of curiosity, it appears that there are some guys and gals out there who own both SHO and Corvettes (either at one point in time, or both together). I happen to have accidentally stumbled into this combination (two great tastes that taste great together). Anybody else find themselves attracted to these two models of cars? BTW, this is coming from a life-long MOPAR guy, so even this late in life (50s) I am learning to appreciate the finer things in Life.

I can see that. One you use to get groceries with, the other you can drive five people around in comfort ;)

I can't say much about vettes, kinda neutral on them...but they seem nice. However I also am a 80's turbo mopar nut...so maybe it's an under appreciated car thing.

I can relate, as I've owned 4 Vettes before getting my SHO. They were:

    - 1989 L98 auto
    - 1993 40th Anniversary 6speed
    - 1996 LT4 6speed
    - 1999 FRC 6speed

Vettes were a blast to drive, and performed well at the drag strip. But a growing family forced me to sell off my last one ('99 FRC), and my love affair with fast 4 doors became my current automotive passion.

tommyturbo: I hear you. I REALLY REALLY wanted to get a Spirit R/T with the stage III turbo, but alas, the timing just wasn't right. I guess fast 4-doors were always my thing. The Vette side track just kind of took me by surprise, as I bought the daily driver of JohntheSHOguy, and really started appreciating what he has been enjoying on a daily basis for the last 9 years.

Kind of off topic, but while I was driving my '92 SHO MTX, I happened upon a Daytona Charger R/T and was blown out of the water by how much that car pulled off the line. I didn't even try after 2 car lengths.

Edit: Sorry, Charger Daytona R/T. The order is significant.

The turbo mopars are fast, my mom ad a 87 GLHS when I was a kid, and now I have a few turbo mopars, the daytona shelby z is my favorite.
