Has anyone had this recall performed? It came out Feb 24, 2020. Apparently it can cause a fun ride if the link fails at high speeds.

The replacement links are not yet available from Ford.

That's interesting, this has been a Ford recall on the Explorer for quite a few years now...

I just went with a set of Steeda rear toe links...I wonder if they fit the SHO?

My 2018 is supposedly past the manufacture date on the recalled toe-links but I still got the letter in the mail, and I recently checked on Ford's website, and indeed, it is involved in the recall.

I have yet to get my lazy ass down on the ground to check if they're forged or not.

Had mine done in May or June. I had a thread about it with the paper work from my ford store. I was the first at my shop have it done when they finally got the new parts in. Cant remember as it was awhile ago but I think the new ones were forged and the old ones were not

That makes no sense. So now you can't drive your car out that particular area? How would they know if somebody bought one in one part of the country but decided to move..

....no, that dealer is blowing smoke up your ass...sorry, lol.

their replacement piece looks pretty sturdy -as what i've experienced with wife's 06 escape the replacement parts ( by moog) are twice the weight of the orig suspension parts . just to save a few pennies

According to Ford my VIN is not part of the recall. Seems odd. Are only cars in the rust belt recalled?

Id at least inspect yours to see if it developed any cracks on the casting. Not like it will cleanly snap at highway speeds, should show some cracks or wear first

I just looked at the drivers side and it looks fine. No cracks or rust. Not sure why some VINs would be affected and not others. Maybe they had more than one supplier for this part.
