Anyone know how they made a duratec rear motor mount work fro a gen 3 ??
You need a Gen 3 rear mount?
Yes I do sorry for the late response
For some reason my motor is leaning towards the back corner where the rear motor mount goes and sitting too close to the passenger side frame rails
I have a never used OE one.
What did you use
Do you have one laying around I could buy
$40 shipped for just the mount An OEM part.
Still good ?
How do I make stronger I need to make do it will hold up to a lot of power
I used a chain in the front. Never changed a rear mount. Chain wrapped around the exhaust manifold and then bolted to the subframe straight down. Just a bit of slack.
Ahh okay do you know why my motor would be sitting how it is ?
I would assume the mounts are collapsed.
I replaced the trans mount I suspected the rear one cause I could move it a flat head screw driver
Open the hood and put it in gear. Then brake torque it a couple of times to watch the engine rear back.
Car isn’t running atm I just put a new trans in
You can see the alternator pulley scraping the rails
Is the subframe centered?
I didn’t touch the subframe
