Anyone here that knows me KNOWS that I treasure my Mother...probably more than life allows, but she’s my Mom...she bought me my first SHO even though other newer and more beautiful cars were offered to me.

She came from a family of 17 with 9 male car enthusiasts(brothers) that made her a gear head.

The lady has owned Buick Grand Nationals, Buick T-Types, Boat Tailed Rivieras, Plymouth Road Runners, Ford 500’s, GTO’s...the list goes ON! She currently owns a manual 97 Trans Am WS-6 that’s been stroked to a 383 Stroker motor, an 06 Acura TL 3.5, and an 06 Hemi AWD Chrysler 300 all as her dd’s

She didn’t understand the SHO thing at first, but after her buying me my first one and later having her driveway clogged up with 5 SHO’s at one time, she knew that it was my destiny.

She’s 72 mind you, and is STILL as beautiful and cognizant as all, but I took her to a funeral this Saturday in my Bmw 550 Xi which she likes for its speed but a 2014 Taurus pulled up beside us and she says “this Bmw is a fine vehicle but your heart has always been on the SHO. That Taurus is a FINE car, I wish you’d have gotten the SHO instead of this”....

With as terrible as this BMW has been to me, I kinda think I owe it to Momma to come back to the SHO...ESPECIALLY after the person that came to get my old SHO this weekend just texted tonight “so does it take 4 or 6 spark plugs”. WTf!?

I may be back guys...just gta figure it all out. Who knows...let’s see how it all works out.

    Touching story.

Now make Momma, and the community proud, and "figure it out".

Hope to see 'ya in the seat of another SHO once again.

God speed and good fortunes ahead!

This damned car keeps coming back to haunt me. The new owner just drove two hours and disturbed my relaxing Non-S.H.O. sleep because after the tb/wp/cps change it was leaking coolant from, and I quote “ and NOW it’s leaking from the OTHER SIDE OF THE ENGINE!!”

The throttle body hoses were brittle and broke after the person who did the timing belt lifted the intake up.

Beyond the fact that the car HAS been basically sitting for 3 years and everything needs to be gone thru smh.

This is the last free repair, and I told the guy that this car will MAKE you a mechanic...I don’t think you really know what you’ve gotten into son...

I was reassured that this will be the last time...but I did offer to buy it back since the tb/wp has been replaced lol. It was to humor myself I guess because he left rapidly after I was told of all the thumbs up and compliments he was given on driving a legend. *Sigh*

Update: look who came back home lol. SHOlyfe ain’t for everyone is it guys? The new owner just couldn’t take the maintenance involved with keeping a 24 yr old car running and especially one that’s been sitting for about 3 yrs so I made a deal with him to take it back and traded him for my Acura TL and he gave me some additional cash.

I essentially came out ahead because someone actually gave me the Acura for free because they didn’t want it anymore and I just didn’t like it at all so no love lost on it leaving. I did all the maintenance on it so he’s getting a solid car: new tires, cats, all fluids flushed, cold A/C etc. Bose, Nav and Pearl Paint and always serviced by Acura.

The reason I say I came out ahead on the SHO coming back is because he had new tires put on, TB/WP and CPS changed but he had enough when the fuel pump went a week later...SHOlyfe right lol. These cars aren’t for everyone so I’m glad to take it back. Gna change the fuel pump in a few weeks and start back driving it and getting the body issues in order.

Told y’all I couldn’t stay away too long I intend to bring the SHO back to beauty like the last picture posted of the day that I bought it.

Yeah, I didn’t wanna leave the guy out in the cold. I intended to do all the things that he had to do but not so soon. His mistake was taking the car and going on 4-5hr drives before checking anything. On a car that’s been sitting for 3 years that’s a disaster waiting to happen. At least she’s back home to someone that knows about her and will most certainly do the required maintenance.

Love the red, looks great! Your mom sounds cool.

My mom loved fast cars too, had a 78 trans am, 87 Dodge Shelby GLHS, and in 95 got a cutlass supreme with a 3.4 twin dual cam...wish she had gotten the Taurus instead, the GM was junk.

My Mom bought a Z34 gen 1 with the 3.4”Twin Dual Cam V6” and we paid dearly for that mess of a motor. It was quick tho!
