So I read my codes without the engine being warmed up and later on did some more research and figured out it needed to be warmed up and that I needed to do a goose test while the engine was running before reading the codes. Should I take the codes that were given to me before the engine was to operating temp into account at all? I threw quite a few codes on and off while the motor was cold. Only threw 539 and 11 when it was warmed up. My heater was on so I'm not worried about the 539 code. 93 mtx. I'm only asking because my idle fluctuates between 900 and 1500 when driving in town and coming to a stop at a light. Also my steering feels a little funky and it threw codes for both when it was cold. Would like to know before I do anymore research or add anything to my cart for my 60k plus anything that needs to be replaced.

Ok sorry so sorry to continously keep asking you questions but I'm not very experienced with these cars and dont want to get led the wrong way. After testing my codes correctly I got a 219 and 542 while off. With 219 being a spout failure what excatly am I looking for with that? 542 is fuel pump open but it is obviously working. Does this mean I have a bad fuel pump? I am throwing 411 and 412 while it's running. I'm assuming this is the iac sensor most likely am I correct? I'm also throwing 225 while running knock sensor not tested and not pinging so I'll ignore it. I'm a nube when it comes to this kind of stuff sorry for the continuous question I really appreciate your guys help!! Cant thank you enough. I just want to get everything I need rounded up before I order everything for my 60k so everything that needs to be replaced is there and easy to get to.

542 is set when the engine stalls and can be disregarded.

411 and 412 relate to idle speed not being controlled correctly. This is nearly always due to a bad idle air control valve. It is not related to intake air temp sensor.

    225 can generally be ignored.

I would just grab a DELPHI CV10101 from rock auto. It's $40ish plus shipping. Compare that price with shipping to a local parts store and go from there. Don't see any motorcraft around in a quick search
