I know I am most likely beating a dead horse. But I need a little guidance on trying to change the PTU oil. My first question is, since I have a PP is it an easier job and why. Second, what parts from Amazon would you suggest purchasing to get the job done. Also, is there a good youtube video on the process. I am new to this, only owned my SHO less then a year.

If you have the temp sensor in the fill hole, it's going to be a pain. Since you have a 2013, there's no vent extension up in the engine compartment unless the TSB was done that added it.

I don't remember the specifics, someone else will be sure to comment, but I'm not sure if the 2013 had a temp sensor.

The PP should have the drain plug, but again, not sure about the 2013. So emptying it is easy, and if you have the temp sensor in the fill plug, it'll be hard to fill. Being it's a 2013, it MIGHT not have the temp sensor, so filling will be easy.

Yes 2013+ PP have a temp sensor for the PTU. It is a bit more of a pain the factory way coz the downpipe has to be removed to service.

There are a couple of ways to tackle this job on a PP without removing the downpipe. I believe there is a good writeup on this forum (Johnbigdog?), as well as on ecoboostperformanceforum.com in the HOW TO section.

I did mine the first time with a hand pump, I overfilled the PTU by about half a pint through the drain hole, then just yanked the hose and slammed the plug back in.

This time I want to try the vent method, but I don't know where the damn vent is haha.

The vent should emerge next to the master cylinder.

I've looked quite a few times on my 2018 PP, and still can't find it.

It might be missing, just like sometime the traction control buttons are missing on some SHOs from factory.

Not saying you are daft. I am saying if they miss the PTU fluid change title it my thread they are daft.

My 13PP doesnt have a vent tube. It has the breather. I took the breather off, and added the fuel line and used that is fill it in my explanation. Then I put the breather back on. When I change the fluid again in 12k miles, I will add the part Shodded posted above.
