The Ranger sensor won't work. They are different.
I tried to see if there was any update today but my contact said he won't know anything any time soon because of this damn virus.
Sadly that's not my car I found that pic recently searching everyone's show
It has the bed of ford ranger but it pretty badass. My car is the same color same front that I just did a new fuel tank and pump, valve cover gaskets, timing belt and some tlc after it had sat for over a decade even replaced tires on my slivers myself with a manual tire changer and bubble balancer. Love that car!!! So did you try swapping out the sensor. The only part to modify is the end with the hall effect reader, I was looking at mine I'm not sure the four wires come out the top and the one I got on eBay for 12.00 bucks looks pretty good, hope I don't need it. But same wires count and got a new connector in case needs lengthened.
Have you tried it? Not to sound conceded but has same pin connectors, what is so different considering the computer recognizes the signals? Thanks
The Ranger Sensor has two pickups. Even if it would mount correctly on the SHO, the SHO shutter will not work. Yes, it has the same four wires and yes it has the same connectors but the Ranger system is different. This is what a Ranger shutter wheel looks like.
I've never tried to swap it out and there is another thread where someone did some testing but it was inconclusive and it would require the part to be modified to fit. There will be replacement ones coming soon anyway.
Your engine bay looks really clean.
Love the look of that motor. I had a 95 I took hundreds of pics of the motor it just so gorgeous. Looks like art work. Should be on a wall.....mine had 2 distinct torque peaks like the hit from a 4 barrel carb when the manual secondaries kick in....
Thanks for info much appreciated!
Send me some pic if u still [email protected]
What gen u have now?
Lots of TLC!!!I JUSt wish they weren't so much!
