As some of you know, I purchased 2013+ exhaust manifolds for my 2010 SHO to eliminate the air flow restriction of the 10-12 OEM manifolds. I looked into extrude honing and first contacted Max Power Automotive inquiring about such. They stated they don't do that and weren't sure who still did, but offered to port the new manifolds. I purchased directly from Tasca and had Tasca ship then direct.

They asked if I wanted my turbos port matched to the now ported 13+ manifolds and said it would be $100 more. Well yeah in that case...plus it would probably be pointless to port the manifolds and NOT port the turbos.

GH Turbos came out and shipped to Max Power Automotive. They received them yesterday. Should have some pics of before and after today. Stay tuned.

Short video of a fellow comparing stock turbo to stock ported turbo.

I would leave at least a 1/8 inch of "meat" smaller than the gasket.

Yes the edge of the hole is the hottest part of the exhaust. Having the edge away from the gasket keeps the heat off and the gasket from expanding into the exhaust stream.

I figure at least port matching is necessary so you don't create an Eddy from the turbulence.

They said they leave 1/32 around and the single layer stainless steel gaskets have a lower expansion rate than the cast iron exhaust manifolds.

Matt @ Max Power said a 25-30hp gain from the better manifolds ported and now turbos is extremely realistic. More? Probably.... but either way I'll take it and I think it's worth it.

    It cost $600.

They ported the new manifolds in their entirety and port matched them to the turbo gaskets.
They ported matched the turbos to same so there's no step up or step down.

For an additional $225 I'm getting the manifolds thermal coated in black. The manifolds were less than $200. I'm about $1,000 all in. I wouldn't mind saving the 225 for thermal coating ...but it's sort of like insurance...help to keep the turbines from cracking. And they're already off the car. Snowball effect.

Can't wait to get them back and with the manifolds. Won't be for another week. I'll feel better once I get everything back. Perfect project to reinstall everything if I get quarantined
