Thinking about that with the infos I accumulated (we don't have all the production for a year other than FPG numbers), for exemple with the Rose mist production, FPG missed 1/3 of the cars but only 1 was sold to Canada and 2 were for the export on the 86 total. However, we must consider that 1996 was a special year with many pre-production and early production cars (possibly not sold, even if they had a district sale number).

According to the 96 numbers I found (around 1/2 of 96 production), 10% of the 96 SHO were sold to Canada. Another thing is the number of the production of right driver side SHOs which is known to be 97 but I'm not sure it came from (FPG ?). Then, we can make an estimation of 12% of the 96 SHOs were not sold to USA (this is far from 33%).

Remember that NO preproduction cars are ever sold. They usually (I believe never) won't have a VIN, and definitely have tags indicating that they aren't EPA compliant. The 2010 SHO that Ford brought to the 09 Convention in Nashua was such a car.

Thanks Ron, then the ones I found were all early roll back in october 1995... It may explain why we were able to know sale district of some of them.

I will correct my choice of terms above.

If all SHO with a VIN were sold, then Ford perfomance group is giving numbers far from the reality sadly... At least for SHO, I think they are Mustang oriented.

No, Ford's numbers are fine. Those numbers for any vehicle that they produce come from the same sources. The only question is what do the numbers represent? US only? Cars released only through the dealer network? I dunno.

The autolamps, along with options like cruise, were in the base option package on every SHO. Why that option, plus the 47L above it, were listed separately for a few cars, is beyond me.
