New Sync3 update - master reset after?

    Dealer just installed the most recent Sync3 update on their system. Is it a good idea to do a master rest after to clean out any junk files...kind of like reformatting Windows or your phone?

    Only if you notice problems - Sync 3 is much more stable than Sync 2 was...

    Can a 2013 be reprogrammed to sync 3 or is it a total different interface or other reason?

    You can retro-fit Sync 3 into a car that came with Sync 2, but it means replacing modules and then some Forscan programming.

    Thanks, unless it knocks off 2/10's in the 1/4, it sounds like too much hassle and cash. My Crapo radio is fine, I usually have Windows down listening to the motor and that highway sound...

    I hear you ;) Last I heard, the cost of updating to Sync 3, even if you gather the modules yourself and don't buy a pre-made kit, was in the upper 3-digits north of $500.

    I did non Nav for around $300. I ended up getting a Nav APIM and screen IIRC for about $100 more than the non Nav and upgraded and sold that one to someone else. Since SYNC3 has CarPlay I actually never use the Nav though.
