Hold it as hard but a briefly as possible. You can also miss your boost target by holding it too long. But also...more spin slower 60ft. Traction is the key. Good luck man! Kill it!

It was a late night at the track with kiddos. The staging lanes were pretty crowded. A bunch of cars broke down and most of the night was spent watching the track staff mop and prep the track over and over-shit happens.

I was able to get two passes in. First was an 11.52 then an 11.47.

The only difference this week was adding methanol for cooling. The major change was the revision to the tune from Matt at Gearhead. I think he sent me the revision an hour after I sent him a log.

I definitely need to get my launch cleaned up a bit. I was racing my wife in her stock Explorer ST on both passes and we were competing to see who could get the lowest reaction time. On the 11.52 I started to brake boost a bit late so I launched kinda slow. I had some wheel hop in 1st on the 11.47 run. I think the car has an 11.3 with a better launch. Overall the car itself felt great and consistent!

My 10 year old son had my phone most of the night and recorded half of the 11.52 run and the full 11.47. My wife is looking forward to getting her ST tuned by Gearhead next week, she really wants to beat me :)

I did see another SHO at the track though! He ran a 12.38 I think. I can’t remember all his mods but it was full weight, stock wheels & tires and ran a 12.3x.

Read through this thread the other day and it’s a nice little journey of your SHO’s racing career to date. A nice read. Congrats and keep up the great work :thumb:

Finally tested the DJI Osmo 3 with my IPhone & draggy. Video came out looking pretty good. I didn’t launch too hard. I’m saving those hard launches for the track!

I made two runs today 2 hours apart. It’s amazing how consistent the car is. She might have a future in bracket racing.

I also find it interesting how the slope is always different even those I always use the same spot!
